GiftCards for Crypto is a US-based business that buys your unused gift cards and pays you in cryptocurrency. We're not a peer-to-peer marketplace β you don't trade with strangers. You trade directly with us at published, guaranteed rates.
The process: you enter your card details on our secure form (about 90 seconds), our automated system verifies your card balance, and then crypto is sent to your wallet address. Most trades complete within 15β45 minutes from submission.
Yes, completely. Exchanging gift cards for cryptocurrency is legal under federal law. GiftCards for Crypto is registered with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network () as a US-incorporated business β the federal requirement for any US company that exchanges virtual currency.
Verify our registration at sunbiz.org β use the Registrant Search. Our Florida LLC is verifiable at sunbiz.org.
No account is required for trades under $200. You only need a valid email address and your card details.
For $200β$500 trades, we ask for a quick card photo via secure email link. For $500+/day, federal regulations require a government-issued ID. We'll send you a secure upload link after submission.
No hidden fees. We purchase your card at a discount β that's how we make money. The rate shown (e.g. 85% for Amazon) is exactly what you receive. No processing fees, no withdrawal fees on top of that.
Example: A $100 Amazon card at 85% β you receive $85 in crypto. The $15 is our margin, shown upfront before you submit anything.
We currently accept: Amazon, Apple/iTunes, Target, Google Play, Walmart, Best Buy, Steam, Starbucks, Visa Prepaid, Mastercard Prepaid, eBay, Nordstrom, Sephora, GameStop, and Nike.
Cards must be US-issued, in USD, and have a balance of at least $10. We do not accept expired cards, cards with pending disputes, or cards marked as stolen or fraudulent.
Minimum: $10 face value. Maximum without enhanced KYC: $500/day. With government ID verification, the daily limit increases to $5,000. Contact support@giftcardsforcrypto.com for institutional accounts.
A crypto wallet is an app or service that holds your cryptocurrency. You need one to receive your payout β we send crypto directly to your wallet address.
If you don't have one yet, here are the two easiest free options:
USDT (Tether) is our recommendation for first-time traders. It's always worth exactly $1.00, arrives the fastest (5 minutes), and is the easiest to spend or convert. If the price of Bitcoin drops 20% overnight, your USDT payout is unaffected.
Choose BTC or ETH if you want to hold long-term and are comfortable with price volatility. Choose SOL, XRP, or BNB for fast, very low-fee transactions on newer networks.
Coinbase: Open the app β tap the crypto you want (e.g. USDT) β tap "Receive" β copy the address shown.
Trust Wallet: Open the app β tap the coin β tap "Receive" β copy the address.
Always copy-paste your wallet address β never type it manually. One wrong character means the crypto cannot be recovered.
USDT (TRC-20 Tron network), USDC (ERC-20 Ethereum), BTC (Bitcoin), ETH (Ethereum), BCH (Bitcoin Cash), LTC (Litecoin), SOL (Solana), XRP (Ripple), DOGE (Dogecoin), BNB (BEP-20 Binance Smart Chain), ADA (Cardano), TRX (Tron).
Make sure your wallet supports the specific network. For example: if you provide a USDT address, make sure your wallet supports USDT on TRC-20 β not just ERC-20.
Physical cards: The card number is on the back. The PIN is usually under a silver scratch-off panel β scratch gently with a coin to reveal it. Some cards don't have a PIN.
Digital cards (by email): The number and PIN are in the gift card email itself, or in the order confirmation where you received the card.
Enter your best estimate. Our system verifies the real balance during verification. If it differs, we'll email you with the verified amount and let you choose to proceed or cancel β no penalty for cancelling.
Check balance first: Amazon at amazon.com/gc/balance Β· Apple in the App Store Β· Google Play in the Play Store Β· Most others: call the number on the back.
Yes β you can enter any valid wallet address. We don't restrict the recipient. Useful for sending crypto to a friend or family member, or as a gift. Just make sure the address is correct β crypto transactions cannot be reversed.
Total start to finish: most trades complete in under 20 minutes.
Our KYC requirements are set by federal regulations, not by us. Here's exactly what triggers each tier:
Trades over $500/day trigger enhanced identity verification, which is required by our registration under the our compliance requirements. This isn't optional β it's a legal obligation for any registered US-incorporated business in the US.
Your ID is encrypted, stored per federal financial privacy law, and never sold or shared beyond what compliance legally requires.
You'll receive an email with your transaction hash (TX hash) β a unique identifier for your blockchain transaction. You can paste this into any blockchain explorer (Etherscan for ETH/USDT, blockchain.com for BTC) to track your payout in real time.
First, check your email for the payout confirmation and look up the TX hash on a blockchain explorer. If the transaction shows "confirmed" but your wallet balance hasn't updated, try refreshing or resyncing your wallet app.
If you're still stuck, email support@giftcardsforcrypto.com with your Order ID. We respond within 2 hours on business days and have never left a legitimate order unresolved.
Contact us immediately at support@giftcardsforcrypto.com with your Order ID. If your card hasn't been verified yet, we may be able to update the address. Once your card is verified and payout is processing, the address cannot be changed.
Yes, when done through our platform. Our form uses TLS 1.3 / 256-bit encryption. Card details are used only to verify your balance, are encrypted in transit, and are purged from our systems after verification completes β we don't retain your full card number.
The key risk to avoid: never submit card details anywhere claiming to be CardVault that isn't giftcardsforcrypto.com. Check the URL carefully.
